A cheap remote control ...

RC-1

Wishing to take some moon shoots, i realized i was lacking a remote control.
After some internet (read: Google) searches, i came across a few sites showing off some plans. Having almost all the hardware ready, i picked a small plastic case, and this is the result.

RC-2

For all of you DIYrs (like me) the drawing below shows the full schematics. Note that for long (B-mode) shots, the shutter will stay open as far as the lever switch is closed (so the button switch really acts only as a trigger for the shutter ...).

RC-Schematics

I will not claim myself as the author, but i don't have (yet) the auths to mention him ...
But, for sure, i will thank him for the remote control at about 7 euros (8 US$) instead of the 65 euros for the original Pentax CS-205 (which has a shorter cable) ...

The bill of materials:

1 audio jack 2.5mm stereo
1 pushbutton normally open
1 switch (for focusing)
1 plastic box
7 ft of stereo audio cable

HaVe a NiCe Day.
